I'm still processing the fact that fall is already here, yet eagerly in "plan" mode for two really exciting events here in Atlanta. Local peeps, be sure to mark your calendars for the following:
FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 4TH
FIRST FRIDAY - "MEET THE ARTIST" EXHIBIT @ West Elm Market at Ponce City Market / 6 - 8pm
675 Ponce De Leon Ave NE #127, Atlanta
Step into Atlanta's swank historical mixed-use destination that was recently transformed from an old Sears warehouse into shops, restaurants, flats, and more. On the first Friday of the month, the expansive home decor store, West Elm, will showcase art from local artists Ashley Hizer / Rebekka Connelly / Jessica Rollins / Courtney Pilgrim, as well as its seasonal collection. Meet the artists, enjoy a free beer tasting from 5-7pm, and get inspired. After the event, enjoy a tasty treat from the food hall, play a round of mini golf on the rooftop, or cruise the nearby BeltLine. (I'll be there Friday night - come say hello!) It's free, but please RSVP here.
FRIDAY, DECEMBER 2ND - SATURDAY, DECEMBER 3RD
VICKERY VILLAGE ARTISTS' MARKET @ The Shops at Vickery Village / 10am - 8pm
5814 North Vickery St, Cumming
The charming North Atlanta mixed-use community, Vickery Village, is known for its small town appeal yet unique shops, restaurants, parks, and one-of-a-kind homes surrounding the town center. Shop for handmade holiday gifts at the Artists' Market that will feature over 30 makers specializing in paintings, jewelry, home decor, edibles and more. When you're finished, grab a cup of coffee and walk through sprawling lakes and greenspace, plus brownstones, craftsman and European-inspired homes. (I'll be in and out throughout the weekend. Let me know if you're dropping by!) Additional details here.
